SOME IMPORTANT CHARACTERISTICS OF POLYMETALLIC LEAD-ZINC ORE IN HAJVALIA MINE, KOSOVO

In this paper are presented general geological data for the polymetallic Hajvalia deposit. particular, we have scientific results regarding chemical and mineralogical composition of sulfur mineralizations from The distribution main metals used during mining activity in deposit has been studied with special emphasis. From microscopic description mineral samples deposit, following compositions result: sphalerite, galena, pyrite, chalcopyrite, marcasite, arsenopyrite, pyrrhotite, tenanntite, as well non-metallic minerals. geochemical associations indicate strong connection Pb Zn Ag, less Cd Cu. There is another association Sb antagonism Cu, an Bi Cu As. Electron probe analysis shows that galena quite pure sporadic high content Ag (up to 100 ppm). Fe sphalerite homogeneous varies 9 11.5%, or 0.18 atoms crystallochemical formula. As known, depends on temperature formation and, some cases, can be a geothermometer. characteristic galenites their "purity", very Pb. stands out among other elements, does presence Hg, more than Bi. Te Se isomorphism S, always predominance Te. contrast contents lower while it found often Sb.
